GPD and ECNL share recommendations on set-up of new UN AI Initiatives

Global Partners Digital and the European Center for Not-for-Profit Law (ECNL) have jointly submitted to a consultation on the establishment and composition of two new initiatives to be set up by the UN: the AI Scientific Panel and Global Dialogue on AI Governance.

In the submission, we set out a range of recommendations to ensure rights-based processes, with meaningful civic participation and representation of relevant human rights expertise. 

The recommendations draw on findings from our prior joint publication with ECNL, ‘The Final Report of HLAB-AI: Our Analysis and Thoughts.’
